Alamaze Orders Submission Instructions

To enter orders you must follow these rules:

• Only one line per order, and one order per line. Press Enter/Return after entering a single order.
• Start each line with an order number with out any extra characters. (like 710, or 250)
• Put one or more SPACES after each column. Do not separate the columns with anything but spaces.
• If you need to enter a blank column, enter that column with a '-'.
  • You only need to use the '-' if there are non-empty columns after the empty one.

As an example I will list a standard set of orders:

I have given three examples of the use of a blank column (-) in three different orders. (#150, #702, and #760) You only need to use '-' to represent a blank column only if there are columns that are not blank after the blank column.

Example:

The blanks in the above 720 order are NOT needed since there are no NON-BLANK columns after the -. BUT you need to put a blank column on 150 since Column 'B' is supposed to be blank, but column 'C' requires a Tactical Selection.

In addition there is one other example that I must highlight. In orders 760 and 761, the column 'B' requires the 'size' of the army you are looking for. One of these selections is 'Army Group'. Since the space is used to seperate columns, place a underscore ('_') where the space should be ('Army_Group'), otherwise the order will be confused and generate an error.

After you enter all the orders and click the 'submit' button, the program looks at your orders and determines if the orders are syntatically correct. In addition, a desription of the order will be displayed. Note that the description is only APPROXIMATE to every combination of the order you can do. Sometimes the description might not make much sense.

	1AN's Wizard-3 will cast 'Hidden Ore' on the local Population Center.

	Send a detachment of 1 AN brigades, a wizard level 5 from the 1AN to the 3AN.

	4AN's Wizard-5 will cast 'Speed' to hastily move to areas DD, ED, FD, GE, HE, IF.

	4AN's Wizard-6 will cast 'Wraith Form', the evil black magic to turn into a lich.

	Agent CO will perform a detailed reconnance of area VU.

Green	This flag shows that the order is syntactically correct, but there might be a problem with your order for your particular turn. Please double check all orders to see if everything is correct.
Yellow	Either the order is unknown to the program. OR the program has detected a potential problem, such as using the same name for an Emissary order and a King order, or trying to rest an army that has moved.
Red	There was an parsing error entering this order. You can still send in your orders, but according to the program, the order is incorrect.
